·        It is absolutely safe if all the doors, cupboards and cabinets are childproofed. Use modern technology to notify you whenever the doors are opened.

·       Remind them of their past and present whenever and wherever possible, hang photos that will help the elders remember certain things, people or incidents.

·        Label all the things and utilities around your house for the convenience of seniors with dementia.

·        Provide visual directions for them around your house which will help them move around without any tripping and falling.

·        Create a healthy home environment for the elders that give them a pleasant and calm feeling. Plant different kinds of plants around your house like a small home garden and hang cool wall paintings and artworks which delight them.
·        Make your home more spacious and remove unwanted or least used things from your home for the comfort of the elders.

·        If caregivers can’t spend enough time with the elders, they can consider home nursing care for elders. There are many healthcare services that provide specialized care for the seniors with dementia.

·        Use proper technological assistance to help the elders in their lifestyle. There are many technologies, like senior medical equipment and applications are there for the welfare of seniors with dementia.

·        There are many therapeutic treatments and memory exercises for the elders to practice in their home to keep up the thinking and memory power.
